Project Overview
A homeowner in Spencerport, Monroe County, NY reached out to us for a gravel driveway restoration and expansion. Their existing driveway had potholes, uneven surfaces, and overgrown vegetation, making it look smaller and less functional. They wanted to widen the driveway for better accessibility and give it a fresh, well-maintained look.
To visualize the project scope, we created a site plan using a Google Maps view, outlining the driveway’s existing boundaries and planned expansion.

How We Completed the Project
Gravel Driveway Grading, Widening and Refresher
We began by scraping out the driveway to level the surface and eliminate potholes. This process ensured a smooth, even base for the new gravel layer.
Grading and leveling the driveway
Since the client wanted a wider gravel driveway, we expanded the main section to 12 feet wide from the road to the parking area. Additionally, we extended the parking area to 40 feet wide to accommodate multiple vehicles.
We supplied, delivered, and applied 80 tons of 5/8-inch Crusher Run driveway stone, spreading it in:
- A 2-inch thick layer on existing driveway sections
- A 4-inch thick layer in newly expanded areas
After spreading the gravel, we used a compactor and roller to create a firm, well-packed surface. All excavated material was removed and properly disposed of, leaving the site clean, smooth, and ready for use.
The result? A cleaner, wider, and more functional driveway with a fresh, well-maintained look that enhances both curb appeal and usability.
